Circle C Ranch Arkansas Horse Center

About Us

Owners Doyle and Peggy Cook both grew up on farms, Doyle in south Arkansas and Peggy in Atkins, though neither were directly related to horses. Doyle spent his entire career in financial related employment. He ended his career with a Presidential appointment to the Board of Directors of Farm Credit Administration in Washington, D.C. and Chairman of the Farm Credit Insurance Corporation Board.

After retiring in Conway, AR for a few years they purchased Circle C Ranch and have expanded the facilities considerably. We offer colt starting, training, riding lessons, breeding, and boarding.

We at Circle C take pride in breeding and training of excellent performance horses. Our riding lesson instructors are excellent as well as our boarding facilities.

Miranda Whorton grew up on a farm in Central Arkansas where she gained a wealth of knowledge in riding, training and caring of horses in a number of different riding styles from Western, to Western Pleasure, English Pleasure to Hunter Jumping, barrels and poles.  Miranda has worked with gaited horses as well as shown them in several classes.

Miranda has worked in Vet Clinics and was Director of Camp Stoneywood for Girl Scouts during two summers.  She is CHA certified for giving riding lessons.

She has had numerous Rodeo wins and numerous Hi Point awards.  She attended Arkansas Tech for three years but because of her love for horses, decided to return to the horse-training world.

Shane Cochran is from Dover, AR.  He graduated from Arkansas Tech and worked in the business world for awhile but all the while did training of horses on the side.  He has been training horses for 15 years and has decided to go full time in the horse business.  He does all types of training as well as colt starting.  Shane is also a farrier and has a wealth of knowledge about horses.
